Cloudist Microsoft 365 Backup - FAQ

While Microsoft is a reliable service provider with geographical replication and very high uptime, they are only responsible for service availability and infrastructure, not the data that you as a customer store.

Microsoft do not backup data in the traditional sense, they archive data and give administrators limited tools to restore data, and if a user license is removed, the mailbox for that user is archived for 30 days and then it is removed.

Yes, if you back up an entire organization or explicitly select Teams and SharePoint data.

Backup jobs are scheduled to run once per day.

The data retention is 1 (one) year.

The data is stored on resilient and secure storage in one of our datacenters in Sweden.
