Creating an IPSEC tunnel with an Edge Gateway

Procedure

Log in to https://portal.cloudist.se

Select Virtual Data Center service

Select the Virtual Data Center and click the Virtual Data Center name

  • Click on the Virtual Data Center where there is an Edge Gateway

  • Select Edges from the menu to the left

  • Select the Edge and then click Services

  • Go to the IPSec VPN section and click on New

  • Enter a name and a description for the IPSec VPN tunnel. Click on Next

  • Enter a complex Pre-Shared Key and click on Next

  • Enter the network configuration: Public IP addresses, local & remote networks

  • Enter the remote IP address for the remote ID

  • Click on Next when done

  • Review the configuration and click Finish

  • Select the VPN tunnel and click on Security Profile Customisation

 

  • Review the current security profile and update it as required to support the on-premises configuration. Click on Save

  • Go to the IPSec VPN section, select your VPN Tunnel and click on View Statistics to observe tunnel statistics

 

 

  • Finally you must review your firewall rules to ensure traffic may pass through
