Service overview
Cloudist Microsoft 365 Backup provides backup for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Microsoft Teams items from the Microsoft 365 service.
The service is billed on number of licenses (number of users protected by Cloudist Microsoft 365 Backup) consumed each month. There is no cost for activating the service and only license usage is billed. Customer can review license usage and additional job statistics in the Cloudist portal.
This service is using Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365. Cloudist operates the service, including storage and renting licenses to the service. Data is stored on Cloudist’s S3 service at one of our sites.
By activate the Cloudist Microsoft 365 Backup, the customer will be able to configure and use the service.

Service prerequisites
- Microsoft Office 365 subscription.
- Microsoft account with permission to perform backup and restore of objects in Microsoft Office 365. Global Administrator has all the necessary roles to perform these actions.

Service dependencies
- Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 needs to be functional and accessible.
- Cloudist S3 S3 needs to be functional and accessible for Cloudist 365 Backup to work (for storage purposes).
- Cloudist Portal needs to be functional and accessible to be able enable/disable the service, change settings and view service status.

Maintenance windows
Maintenance is performed during normal office hours, outside of backup operations. During maintenance, the service might be unavailable for configuration or restore operations. Normal maintenance is not advertised in advanced. Bigger maintenance work will be advertised not less than a week in advanced. Downtime during maintenance windows is not included when calculating service availability. Backups jobs are scheduled outside of office hours.
