Service overview
Cloudist Cloud Connect provides Veeam Backup & Replication users with cloud storage to be used as target for backup data in order to move backup data off-site. The service is billed on licenses (number of VMs protected by Cloud Connect) and on average storage consumed each month. There is no cost for activating the service and only usage is billed. Customer can review license and storage usage in the Cloudist portal.
This service is using Veeam Cloud Connect for Service Providers. Cloudist operates the service, including storage and renting licenses to the service.
By activate the Cloud Connect service, the customer will be able to use the service.

Description
- Easy to use cloud storage service enabling customers using Veeam Backup & Replication send backups off-site to a secure location.
Solution
- Cloudist offers backup storage as Service Provider in Veeam Backup & Replication.
- Storage usage is charged on an average daily basis and licenses on a monthly basis, invoiced at the end of each month.
Features
- Customer can configure backup jobs and backup copy jobs in Veeam Backup & Replication Console to store backup data on Cloudist Cloud Connect.
- Customer can restore VMs and individual files directly from backups stored on Cloudist Cloud Connect using Veeam Backup & Replication Console.
- Customer pays only for storage used (monthly average) and the number of VMs that are protected on Cloudist Cloud Connect.

Service prerequisites
- Veeam Cloud Connect licensing is included in Veeam Availability Suite, Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Backup Essentials with no additional licensing required.

- Veeam Cloud Connect needs to be functional and accessible.
- vCloud API i SEN needs to be functional and accessible for Cloudist Cloud Connect to work (for authentication purposes).
- Cloudist portal needs to be functional and accessible to be able enable/disable the service and set up service account.

Maintenance windows
Maintenance windows are scheduled the third Wednesday 06.00 CET until 12.00 CET every quarter. During maintenance window, the service might be unavailable. Downtime during maintenance windows is not included when calculating service availability.
