Introduction
This guide is to show how to restore files or folders of virtual machines backed up by the Cloudist Solutions VDC backup feature
Prerequisites
You will need credentials for the virtual machine guest OS to authenticate the operation of restoring a file or folder.
Procedure
To recover a file or folder
Log in to https://portal.cloudist.se
Select Virtual Data Center service
Select Virtual Datacenter and click on the Virtual Datacenter name
Once logged into your VDC, click More, then Data Protection
Click Recovery, Recover and then Files and Folders option, search for a specific file, or a partial name, or use a wildcard expression such as * to search..
Select the file, the desired Date and click Restore
In the Recover Files or Folders page, fill out the relevant settings - we recommend you Recovery Method: Auto Deploy Cohesity Agent.
Click Restore to initiate the recovery
