Introduction

GeoDrive is a free tool provided by Dell EMC that gives you the simplicity of handling files.

Prior to this you must activate your S3 service and create a bucket.

Download at https://www.dell.com/support/home/sv-se/product-support/product/atmos-geodrive-for-windows/drivers

Procedure

  1. Download and install GeoDrive

  2. When the application is started click on Hosts and then click add

  3. Fill in the details

    1. Server type: ECS

    2. Server name: Choose anything

    3. Description: Choose anything

    4. User ID: Write the access ID name

    5. Secret Access Key: Put in the secret key (never share this)

    6. Choose HTTPS

    7. Port Override checked in and set portnr to 443

    8. add the endpoint at Host name / IP -

      1. for buckets in se-central-1, use sec1-s3.cloudist.solutions

      2. for buckets in se-north-1, use sen1-s3.cloudist.solutions

    9. Click Test and you should see a success message

3. Next step is to set up a GeoDrive folder - in the main menu click Add GeoDrive

  • Pick a drive letter

4. Click next and pick the host and the bucket where you want the data to be stored. Adjust any settings and then click next.

5. You should now have a view similar to this in the main menu. The new drive will also appear in your local explorer.
