Service overview

Microsoft 365 service provides customers ability to manage their Microsoft subscriptions from the Cloudist portal. Customer can add, change quantity and suspend one or multiple licenses.

This service is developed as an extension of Cloudist distributor Arrow ECS XSP portal and Microsoft´s API. Cloudist does not own, manage och or operate Microsoft subscriptions/licenses. Cloudist only resells, simplifies and provides the ability for managing the subscriptions/licenses.

Microsofts own description of When you buy a subscription to Microsoft 365 is a subscription that includes the most collaborative, up-to-date features in one seamless, integrated experience. Microsoft 365 includes the robust Office desktop apps that you’re familiar with, like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. You also get extra online storage and cloud-connected features that let you collaborate on files in real time. With a subscription, you'll always have the latest features, fixes, and security updates along with ongoing tech support at no extra cost. You can choose to pay for your subscription on a monthly or yearly basis, and the Microsoft 365 Family plan lets you share your subscription with your family for up to 6 people, and use your apps on multiple PCs, Macs, tablets, and phones.

  • We do not require credit card payments, all usage is charged on a daily basis and invoiced in the begging of the upcoming month
  • Once you change a license it is visible in you Microsoft 365 portal within 90 seconds
  • See the overview of assigned/unassigned licenses and scale down for cost efficiencies

  • Customer can choose various Microsoft 365 plans as per your specific business needs.
  • Customer can add licenses one or multiple choices of licenses

Service prerequisites

  • Existing Microsoft 365 customer
    • Customer needs to accept Cloudist Solution as Advisor and Arrow ECS as Cloud Solution Provider and Admin by clicking on the link in the portal (Microsoft 365 → Authorize Cloudist) and signing in with a global admin account.
  • New Microsoft 365 customer
    • Customer requests a license in the portal (Microsoft 365 → Add license) and Cloudist will then activate a new Microsoft 365 account with requested license. One the account is activated, Cloudist will provide admin credentials to the customer.

Service dependencies

  • Cloudist portal needs to be functional and accessible to be able manage, add & remove licenses
  • Microsoft´s API need to be functional and accessible for Arrow´s XSP Portal API to work 
  • Arrow ECS XSP Portal API needs to be functional and accessible for Cloudist Microsoft 365 service to work

IaaS 3.0 The service is delivered to customer over secure Internet protocols or through dedicated secure network connections.through Cloudist portal → Microsoft 365

The licenses bought from Cloudist portal are consumed in the official Microsoft 365 portal: http://portal.office.com

Availability

  • vCloud Director management user interface
    • Fortlax ensures that vCloud Director management user interface is available during office hours (8AM - 5PM CET, Monday to Friday)
  • Virtual machine
    • Fortlax ensures that customer virtual machines can start, run and stop at any time (this does not include availability of any operating system, application or other software installed in the virtual machine)
  • Virtual Firewall and Router (Edge)
    • Fortlax ensures that customer Edge Firewall is available at any time.
