Service overview
Cloud Connect provides customers with an on-prem Veeam Backup & Replication installation users with cloud storage to be used as target for backup data in order to move backup data off-site. The service is billed on licenses (number of VMs protected by Cloud Connect) and on average storage consumed each month.

This service is developed as an extension Arrow ECS XSP portal and Microsoft´s API. Cloudist does not own, manage och operate Microsoft subscriptions/licenses. Cloudist only resells, simplifies and provides the ability for managing the subscriptions/licenses.
When you buy a subscription to Microsoft 365 for business, you sign up for a set of applications and services that you pay for on a monthly basis. The applications and services that you receive as part of your subscription depend on which product you purchasedThere is no cost for activating the service and only usage is billed. Customer can review license and storage usage in the Cloudist portal.
The customer will not be able manage or change settings to license or storage usage through the Cloudist Portal, all management is made through the on premise Veeam Backup & Replication Console.
This service is using Veeam Cloud Connect for Service Providers. Cloudist operates the service, including storage and renting licenses to the service.
By activate the Cloud Connect service, the customer will be able to use the service.

- Storage usage is charged on an average daily basis and licenses on a monthly basis, invoiced at the end of each month.

- Customer can configure backup jobs and backup copy jobs in Veeam Backup & Replication Console to store backup data on Cloudist Cloud Connect.
- Customer can restore VMs and individual files directly from backups stored on Cloudist Cloud Connect using Veeam Backup & Replication Console.
- Customer pays only for storage used (monthly average) and the number of VMs that are protected on Cloudist Cloud Connect.

- vCloud API i SEN needs to be functional and accessible for Cloud Connect to work (for authentication purposes).
- Cloudist portal needs to be functional and accessible to be able activate the service and set up service account.
