This article describes how to change the account you previously authenticated a backup task. This can be used to change the Service Account used or move from a Personal Account to Service Account.

You have a new account authenticated

1. Create a dedicated SaaS Backup service account with Global Admin in Entra ID.

2. Impersonate the customer from Cloudist portal the Cloudally portal.

   1. This step is done by directly logging on to the Cloudally Partner Portal, credentials are supplied by Cloudist, until end February 2026.

3. Backup task has previously been setup.

4. Use an Incognito browser window.

2. From homepage, in a backup task click Connected.

3. Account contains the old account. Click Authenticate and use your new account.

4. When done. Verify your new account is visible under Account.

5. Repeat for all backup tasks you want to change account.
