This article describes how to setup a new backup job for a customer M365 Tenant including Exchange, Teams, Onedrive and Sharepoint.

You have a backup job for your customers complete M365 organisation running once per 24h.

1. Create the customer in Cloudist Portal.

2. Enable the SaaS Backup service for the customer.

   1. This step is carried out by Cloudist until end February 2026.

   2. Inform your sales contact at Cloudist to onboard the customer for you until end February 2026.

3. Inpersonate the customer from Cloudist portal the Cloudally portal.

   1. This step is done by directly logging on to the Cloudally Partner Portal, credentials are supplied by Cloudist, until end February 2026.

4. Create a dedicated SaaS Backup service account with Global Admin in Entra ID.

1. From the Homepage tab, click “Complete Microsoft 365 Backup”

2. Click “Authenticate”

3. Authenticate in customer tenant with the SaaS Backup service account
   
   

   Open

   

    

4. Allow all permissions
   
   

   Open

   

    

5. CloudAlly-OneClick-App Enterprise app is being setup in the tenant
   
   

   Open

   

    

6. Type Customer name as name of the backup job and click “Next”
   
   

   Open

   

    

7. Accept defaults and click “Confirm”
   
   

   Open

   

    

8. Backup job setup is now complete
