Updating the Management Agent
Windows
For existing clients, this will mean that the Magament Agent needs to be pointed to the new address.
Start the Management Agent from the Start Menu
Open up the UI from the task bar and edit the address
Apply the changes and accept the certificate if prompted
Mac
Open a terminal and run the following command:
sudo veeamconsoleconfig -g add sen1-ob.cloudist.solutions:6180 --validate_cert 86699182A78CB37B72DC3DE71E11943ED9D7EED0Enter the password needed for sudo elevation and make sure the management agent can connect to the Service Provider endpoint
Update backup job
After the connection to the Veeam Service Provider Console have been established, jobs will also start run according the the schedule.
If the job fails with an error regarding the backup agent cannot find any working cloud gateway, the solution is to update the job settings on the client itself.
Switch the Backup Agent UI to fully managed mode to be able to edit the job specific settings on the client. This is done from the Veeam Service Provider Console. Login and select Backup in the left hand menu.
Select the client(s) in the list and select “Switch to Full Admin Access” in the menu above the list view.
Connect to the client and open up the Backup Agent UI
Navigate to the Service Provider step and change the address. If the input field is greyed out, the Backup Agent UI is still in read-only mode.
Go through the dialogue and apply the changes. Either run the job on exit or wait for the job to run according to the schedule.
Go back to VSPC and switch back to read-only mode for the UI, otherwise the customer can make changes to the job settings.
