titleWhat is a region?

We define a region as a physical location with a set of datacenters.
This gives you the possibility to deploy your workloads where they provide the best service to your consumers, or where the VDC feature set best suits your needs and requirements.
Currently available regions are:
SE-CENTRAL-1 (Falun) and
SE-NORTH-1 (Piteå).

titleWhat is an availability zone?

We define availability zones as separated physical rooms within a region. This means that there are requirements for separated fire cells and separated security access zones.
This gives us the opportunity to separate for example VDC compute and VDC backup, to ascertain high level of security and protection.
Currently available availability zones are:
SEC1-AZ1 (Falun)
SEC1-AZ2 (Falun)
SEN1-AZ1 (Piteå)
SEN1-AZ2 (Piteå).
